* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
SOUTHEASTERN VERNON COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI
EASTERN ST. CLAIR COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI
NORTHERN CEDAR COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI

* AT 550 PM CST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
AN AREA OF REDEVELOPING THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL
FROM SHELDON TO ELDORADO SPRINGS TO OSCEOLA. RADAR ESTIMATES
INDICATE THAT TWO TO THREE AND A HALF INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN IN
THIS AREA...WITH AN ADDITIONAL ONE TO TWO INCHES POSSIBLE THROUGH
7 PM.
* RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO
OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLASH FLOODING
INCLUDE...OSCEOLA...ELDORADO SPRINGS...MONTEVALLO AND SHELDON.
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE
UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS
SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
