SOUTHERN IRON COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST MISSOURI MADISON COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST MISSOURI NORTHERN REYNOLDS COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST MISSOURI * UNTIL 700 AM CDT * AT 300 AM CDT...LAW ENFORCEMENT CONTINUED TO REPORT FLASH FLOODING IN IRON COUNTY FROM IRONTON SOUTH TO SABULA AND ANNAPOLIS. SEVERAL ROADS WERE STILL UNDER WATER AND IMPASSABLE IN ANNAPOLIS. CREEKS AND STREAMS WERE ALSO OVER THERE BANKS IN LESTERVILLE IN NORTHEASTERN REYNOLDS COUNTY FORCING THE EVACUATION OF SEVERAL CAMPGROUNDS. RADAR WAS ESTIMATING RAINFALL TOTALS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES DURING THE PAST THREE HOURS FROM JUST NORTH OF ANNAPOLIS TO SACO AND BUCKHORN. SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTAINING HEAVY RAIN WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE EASTWARD THROUGH THE AREA UNTIL 5 OR 6 AM AGGRAVATING THE FLOOD SITUATION AND CAUSING THE FLOOD WATERS TO RECEDE MORE SLOWLY DURING THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED OR IMMINENT...MOVE QUICKLY TO HIGHER GROUND. NEVER DRIVE INTO AN AREA WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD. BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF FLOODING. ACT QUICKLY IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.
