THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ST LOUIS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SOUTHERN IRON COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST MISSOURI
  MADISON COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST MISSOURI
  NORTHERN REYNOLDS COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST MISSOURI

* UNTIL 300 AM CDT

* AT 1110 PM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED 
  THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN IN AND AROUND THE MARK 
  TWAIN NATIONAL FOREST IN IRON AND MADISON COUNTIES AS WELL AS 
  THE TOWNS OF GLOVER...CHLORIDE...SABULA...ANNAPOLIS... 
  MARQUAND...AND LESTERVILLE.  RADAR HAS ESTIMATED AS MUCH AS 4 TO 5 
  INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER PARTS OF THE WARNING AREA.

* FLASH FLOODING CAN BE EXPECTED OR IS IMMINENT FOR THESE AREAS AS 
  WELL AS THE BLACK RIVER...CASTOR RIVER...AND THE STE FRANCOIS 
  RIVER.  ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN PRODUCING THUNDERSTORMS CAN BE   
  EXPECTED FOR THE NEXT 1 TO 2 HOURS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. ACT QUICKLY IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED. MOVE
TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT
TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.

THOSE CAMPING NEAR SMALL STREAMS SHOULD MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND AT
ONCE. WATER LEVELS MAY RISE RAPIDLY WITH LITTLE OR NO WARNING...EVEN
IF wTHE HEAVY RAINS ARE WELL UPSTREAM OF YOUR CAMPSITE.
