THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WICHITA HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  RICE COUNTY IN CENTRAL KANSAS

* UNTIL 645 AM CDT

* AT 342 AM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS
  PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL COVERING MOST OF THE COUNTY.  RADAR
  ESTIMATES SHOW IN EXCESS OF 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN IN 2 
  HOURS OF PORTIONS OF THE COUNTY.  RAIN IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE
  OVER THE TWO HOURS.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES
AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS. BE ESPECIALLY
CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT...WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF
FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED... ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
