NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GOODLAND KS

CHALLENGE CONTINUES TO BE EXTENT OF COVERAGE OF TSRAS TONIGHT AND
FRI NIGHT.

AGAIN MODELS VERY SIMILAR. AND AGAIN WILL GO WITH ETA. AND AGAIN
THERE IS LITTLE TO NO CHANGE IN HTS OR TEMPS AT 50H OVER AREA IN
LAST 24 HRS (NOW LAST 48 HRS). ALTHOUGH CENTER OF UPPER RIDGE
APPEARS TO HAVE DRIFTED ESE TO NORTHERN ARK RIDGE HAS CONTINUED TO
BUILD SLIGHTLY. THEREFORE NO SIGNIFICANT CHANGE TONIGHT OR EARLY
FRI. ANOTHER WEAK VORT MAX COMES FROM SW ACROSS CENTER MY CWA DURING
EVENING AND INTO SCEN NEB AFTER/NEAR MIDNIGHT. AXIS APPEARS TO BE
SLIGHTLY WEST OF ONE LAST NIGHT. SO SCT-WDLY SCT TSRAS THIS EVENING
THEN DECREASING CLDS.

HOWEVER DURING DAY FRI MODELS STILL SHOW FAIRLY STRONG 70H S/W
MOVING SLOWLY FROM EAST CO TO SCEN NEB FROM NEAR NOON INTO EARLY
NIGHT. MOST NOTICEABLE EFFECT MAY BE MOSTLY CLOUDY IN FORM OF
MIDDLE CLOUDS AS THERE DOESNT APPEAR TO BE MUCH +UVV WITH IT.
SHOULD KEEP HIGH TEMPS POSSIBLY FIVE DEGREES BELOW TODAY. AGAIN SCT
TSRAS FROM LATE PM THRU THE EVENING. AFTER MIDNIGHT CLEARING AND
DRYING TREND APPEARS TO MOVE FROM WEST TO EAST ACROSS CWA.

SAT MODELS SHOW MUCH DRIER AIR IN AREA WITH ASSOCIATED WARMER/HOTTER
TEMPS. MOSTLY SUNNY WITH A FEW TSRAS COMING OUT OF CO SAT EVEN BUT
MUCH LESS COVERAGE THAN LAST TWO DAYS. TEMPS SAT AND INTO SUN GOING
OVER 100 MARK IN SEVERAL AREAS.

IN EXTENDED AS UPPER HIGH CENTER SLIPS TO SW SUN AND MON SLIGHTLY
COOLER...NEAR SEASONAL HIGHS...MOVES INTO AREA MON. STILL APPEARS
SLIGHTLY BETTER CHANCES FOR TSRAS...AFTER DRY SUN AND MON...OCCURS
TUES AND WED AS UPPER HIGH CENTER FURTHEREST SOUTH. THIS SHOULD KEEP
TEMPS THOSE DAYS NEAR NORMAL. HOWEVER BOTH MRF AND ECM SEEM IN
AGREEMENT THAT BY LATE WEDS UPPER HIGH CENTER BUILDS AGAIN AND MOVES
NORTH OVER MY CWA BY THU WITH GREATEST HTS YET. ACCORDINGLY THINK
DRY AND HOT/VERY TEMPS (10 TO 15 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL) TO BEGIN TO
OCCUR OVER REGION BY THU.

THANKS TO LBF FOR COORDINATION.
