THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND FORKS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...

  WESTERN GRAND FORKS COUNTY IN NORTHEAST NORTH DAKOTA AND
  NELSON COUNTY IN NORTHEAST NORTH DAKOTA.

* UNTIL 1015 PM CDT

* AT 713 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN CONTINUE TO MOVE...MOVEMENT WAS TO
  THE NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH.

* MCVILLE...LAKOTA...KLOTEN...PEKIN AND DAHLEN WILL BE AFFECTED BY   
  THE HEAVY RAIN. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES        
  INDICATE THAT 2.5 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN AROUND THE       
  MCVILLE AREA OF SOUTHERN NELSON COUNTY...WITH THE THUNDERSTORMS    
  MOVING VERY SLOWLY TO THE NORTHEAST. ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS      
  DEVELOPING OVER GRIGGS COUNTY ARE EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO NELSON AND 
  WEST GRAND FORKS COUNTIES THIS EVENING. FLOODING IS EXPECTED ALONG 
  THE UPPER REACHES OF THE GOOSE AND SHEYENNE RIVERS...AS WELL AS    
  FLOOD PRONE AREAS.

MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NiOT DRIVE YOUR
VEHICLE INTO WATER OF UNKNOWN DEPTH. ONE OR TWO FEET OF WATER WILL
FLOAT MOST CARS DOWNSTREAM.
