THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  MORGAN COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL GEORGIA

* UNTIL 600 AM EST

* AT 1000 PM EST EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL CONTINUE TO MONITOR 
THE CONDITION OF PRITCHARD LAKE DAM NEAR OIL MILL ROAD ABOUT TWO 
MILES WEST OF MADISON. THE POSSIBLE FAILURE OF THE DAM COULD OCCUR 
AT ANY TIME AND IS STILL CONSIDERED AN IMMINENT THREAT. IF THIS 
EARTHEN DAM FAILS...THE ROADS AFFECTED WILL BE SLAUGHTER BEASLEY 
ROAD AND HIGHWAY 83. OUTFLOW FROM THE DAM...IF IT BREAKS WILL FLOW 
INTO HARD LABOR CREEK.

VOLUNTARY EVACUATIONS OF RESIDENTS WEST AND NORTH OF MADISON HAS 
BEEN COMPLETED.   

RESIDENTS IN THE AREA SHOULD BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND 
IMMEDIATELY. STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO OR LOCAL MEDIA FOR 
FURTHER DETAILS.
