1036 AM CDT SAT SEP 22 2001

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
  NORTHERN FAYETTE

* UNTIL 100 PM CDT

* AT 1032 AM...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY
  RAIN FROM CARMINE TO ROUND TOP...OR ABOUT 16 MILES SOUTHWEST OF   
  BRENHAM...MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 5 MPH.  DOPPLER RADAR HAS ESTIMATED
  THAT 1 TO 6 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN SINCE THIS MORNING.  THE
  HEAVIEST  TOTALS WERE OVER FLAT CREEK AND CUMMINS CREEK.  
  ADDITIONAL RAINFALL IS EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT FEW HOURS.      

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
