THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BUFFALO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  EASTERN ONTARIO COUNTY IN WESTERN NEW YORK.

* UNTIL 730 PM EDT

* AT 600 PM EDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY       
  HEAVY RAIN OVER THE CLIFTON SPRINGS AND PHELPS AREA...WITH
  SLOW MOVEMENT OT THE SOUTHEAST.

DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES THAT OVER 2 AND A HALF INCHES OF RAIN
HAS FALLEN OVER THIS AREA SINCE 4:30 PM...AND THAT RAINFALL RATES
OF MORE THAN INCH AN HOUR HAVE BEEN ESTIMATED SINCE 5 PM.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY
ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND OTHER
LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
