THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GAYLORD HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CRAWFORD COUNTY IN NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN
  MONTMORENCY COUNTY IN NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN

* UNTIL 600 AM EDT

* AT 1204 AM EDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED ANOTHER 
  AREA OF HEAVY RAINFALL MOVING ACROSS THE REGION. THE RAIN WILL 
  CONTINUE THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS...WHICH WILL AMOUNT TO AN 
  ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAINFALL BY 6 AM.

* DOPPLER RADAR RAINFALL ESTIMATES AND SPOTTER REPORTS INDICATE THAT 
  RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 2.5 INCHES SINCE 8 PM HAVE FALLEN IN 
  THESE LOCATIONS. 

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THESE STORMS WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...ROADWAYS AND UNDERPASSES...AS WELL AS OTHER
DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
