THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GAYLORD HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  MONTMORENCY COUNTY IN NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN

* UNTIL 1230 AM EDT

* AT 920 PM EDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED AN AREA    
  OF VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER MONTMORENCY COUNTY. THUNDERSTORMS WILL 
  CONTINUE TO AFFECT THIS AREA THROUGH 1100 PM.

* DOPPLER RADAR RAINFALL ESTIMATES AND SPOTTER REPORTS AROUND AN 
  INCH OF RAINFALL SINCE 800 PM. ANOTHER 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAINFALL
  IS POSSIBLE BY 1100 PM.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THESE STORMS WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...ROADWAYS AND UNDERPASSES...AS WELL AS OTHER
DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS 
RISING.
