THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BLACKSBURG HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
  FRANKLIN COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL VIRGINIA...

* UNTIL 315 PM EDT

* AT 229 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
  SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 7 MILES NORTHEAST OF SONTAG...OR ABOUT 23 MILES
  SOUTHEAST OF ROANOKE...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH. ANOTHER SEVERE
  THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED ABOUT 4 MILES SOUTHWEST OF PENHOOK. HAIL 
  IN EXCESS OF QUARTER SIZE HAIL AND MAYBE TO GOLFBALL SIZE IS 
  LIKELY WITH THESE STORMS.
