THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  WESTERN GUILFORD COUNTY
  EASTERN FORSYTH COUNTY

* UNTIL 130 AM EDT

* AT 1127 PM EDT SEVERE WEATHER SPOTTERS REPORTED THUNDERSTORMS
  WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN FROM AROUND WINSTON-SALEM EAST THROUGH
  KERNERSVILLE THE OAK RIDGE AREA OF NORTHWEST GUILFORD COUNTY.

* THUNDERSTORMS ARE CONTINUOUSLY REDEVELOPING OVER THE WARNED AREA...
  RESULTING IN EXCESSIVE RAINFALL.  RADAR INDICATES SOME OF THIS
  AREA LIKELY RECEIVED OVER THREE INCHES OF RAINFALL EARLY TONIGHT.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THESE STORMS WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES.

SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS WILL RAPIDLY FLOOD...POSSIBLY WASHING OUT
ROADS AND FLOODING NEARBY LOW AREAS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.
