THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  FRANKLIN COUNTY IN NORTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 230 AM EDT

* AT 1228 AM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN MOVING ACROSS CENTRAL AND EASTERN
FRANKLIN COUNTY.

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE
WARNED AREA. RADAR ESTIMATES INDICATED BETWEEN 4 AND 6 INCHES OF
RAIN HAVE FALLEN IN THE WARNED AREA ESPECIALLY FROM AROUND BUNN TO
LOUISBURG. RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH
FLOODING IN CREEKS AND STREAMS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY....ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT.
