THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PHOENIX HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...THE TOWNS OF ARLINGTON AND DIXIE
    HASSAYAMPA...LOCATED ABOUT 8 MILES WEST SOUTH WEST OF THE
    CITY OF BUCKEYE IN SOUTH CENTRAL MARICOPA COUNTY IN CENTRAL
    ARIZONA.

* UNTIL 1200 AM MST (MIDNIGHT).

* AT 830 PM THE HASSAYAMPA RIVER CROSSING AT BASELINE AND ELLIOT
ROADS OVERFLOWED ITS BANKS.  HOME EVACUATIONS WERE UNDERWAY.
STREAM MODELS INDICATE THE HASSAYAMPA RIVER WILL CONTINUE TO RISE
UNTIL MIDNIGHT. ANOTHER 3 FEET OF RIVER RISE IS EXPECTED BETWEEN
830 PM AND MIDNIGHT.

MOTORISTS AND RESIDENTS NEAR THE HASSAYAMPA RIVER...GENERALLY
BETWEEN INTERSTATE 10 AND ARLINGTON SHOULD BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND SHOULD FLOOD WATERS THREATEN.  A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT
OF RAIN WATER WHIC$H FELL AT THE HEADWATERS OF THE HASSAYAMPA RIVER
NEAR WICKENBURG WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE DOWNSTREAM UNTIL MIDNIGHT.
