THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN UPTON NY HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...

  IN SOUTHEASTERN NEW YORK STATE...
     RICHMOND (STATEN ISLAND)...

* UNTIL 930 AM EDT...

* AT 727 AM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER THE WARNED AREA.

* SOME OF THE FLOOD PRONE HIGHWAYS AND ROADS IN THE WARNED AREA
  INCLUDE...HYLAN BLVD AND THE WEST SHORE EXPRESSWAY.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE SERIOUS FLASH FLOODING
OF HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES. RAINFALL OF UP TO 3 INCHES AN
HOUR CAN BE EXPECTED BETWEEN NOW AND 830 AM.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED. MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND.
