AT 309 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
HEAVY RAINS CONTINUING NEAR MATTOON EAST TO CHARLESTON. RAINFALL
RATES OF UP TO TWO INCHES AN HOUR CAN BE EXPECTED.

AT 250 PM COLES COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTED SEVERAL STREETS FLOODED ON
THE EAST ILLINOIS CAMPUS. MATTOON POLICE REPORTED SEVERAL STREETS
AND AREAS FLOODED IN MATTOON.

EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING ON FLOOD PRONE
HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES. NEVER WALK OR DRIVE INTO FLOODED
