BRAZORIA COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS * UNTIL 1215 AM CDT * AT 1122 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE TORNADO 5 MILES SOUTHEAST OF DAMON...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 10 MPH. SOUTHEAST TEXAS FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HOUSTON/GALVESTON TX 846 PM CDT FRI MAY 19 2000 QUITE A BIT OF RAIN FOR PARTS OF THE FA ALREADY THIS EVENING. AREAS NEAR IAH HAVE RECEIVED AT LEAST 6 OF RAIN SINCE ABOUT 5 PM AND THE APPROACH CONTROL BUILDING AT IAH REPORTED ABOUT 1 OF WATER IN THE BUILDING AT ONE POINT. MOST OF THESE HEAVY RAINS HAVE MOVED OFF AS THE JUNCTION OF CELL MERGERS HAVE ALSO MOVED OFF TO THE NE. FOR THE REMAINDER OF TONIGHT WE COULD STILL BE IN FOR A BUMPY RIDE. A N-S LINE OF STRONG/SEVERE TSRA DEVELOPING OVER SW/SC TX AS DEEP MOISTURE/SPOTTY PCPN CONTINUES TO PUSH NORTH FROM THE GULF.
