THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GREENVILLE-SPARTANBURG HAS EXTENDED THE

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  RUTHERFORD COUNTY IN WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 415 AM EDT

* AT 230 AM EDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THE RAIN   
  OVER RUTHERFORD COUNTY WAS DIMINSIHING FOR THE TIME BEING BUT 
  NUMEROUS CREEKS AROUND FOREST CITY...ELLENBORO...CAROLEEN AND 
  CLIFFSIDE WERE REPORTED OUT OF THERE BANKS. 

* MORE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING NORTH THROUGH THE 
  UPSTATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA AT 230 AM AND WILL MOVE BACK INTO 
  RUTHERFORD COUNTY AROUND 330 AM. ANOTHER INCH OR TWO OF RAIN WILL 
  BE POSSIBLE WITH THE NEXT BATCH OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS ANoD FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
