THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SIOUX FALLS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  LINCOLN COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA
  TURNER COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA

* UNTIL 500 AM CDT

* AT 301 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS WERE PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL OVER THE WARNED
  AREA.

DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED RAINFALL AMOUNTS EXCEEDING 1.5 INCHES IN 
NORTHWEST TURNER COUNTY IN JUST ONE HOUR. STORM TOTAL PRECIPITATION 
AMOUNTS ARE ESTIMATED TO BE 2 TO 3 INCHES IN SECTIONS OF TURNER AND 
LINCOLN COUNTIES.

THIS LINE OF STORMS IS MOVING SLOWLY TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 15 TO 20 
MPH...AND WILL PRODUCE TORRENTIAL RAINS OVER TURNER AND LINCOLN 
COUNTIES THROUGH 430 AM CDT.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
