  NELSON COUNTY IN NORTHEAST NORTH DAKOTA

THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN CONTINUE TO MOVE ACROSS THE NEW
ROCKFORD...TOLNA...MCVILLE...MICHIGAN...LARIMORE...GILBY AND MANVEL
AREAS. DURING THE EVENING HOURS PUBLIC REPORTS...AND DOPPLER RADAR
ESTIMATES...INDICATE THAT 6 INCHES OR MORE OF RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER
THE THREE COUNTY AREA. MORE THUNDERSTORMS WERE DEVELOPING IN CENTRAL
NORTH DAKOTA AND SPREADING NORTHEAST AND WILL PASS OVER THE WARNING
AREA DURING THE MORNING HOURS.

* NEW ROCKFORD...TOLNA...MCVILLE...MICHIGAN...LARIMORE...GILBY AND
MANVEL WILL BE AFFECTED BY THE HEAVY RAIN. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL
AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES ARE LIKELY BY MORNING. FLOODING IS EXPECTED
ALONG THE UPPER REACHES OF THE SHEYENNE...THE TURTLE RIVER...UPPER
BRANCHES OF THE GOOSE AND PARK RIVERS. WASHOUTS ARE LIKELY IN THESE
AREAS DUE TO THE HEAVY RAINS...AND DITCHES AND CULVERTS WILL BE
RUNNING FULL TO OVERFLOWING.

MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR
VEHICLE INTO WATER OF UNKNOWN DEPTH. ONE OR TWO FEET OF WATER WILL
