EDWARDS COUNTY * UNTIL 315 PM CDT * AT 221 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 13 MILES SOUTHWEST OF ROCKSPRINGS...MOVING EAST AT 20 MPH. LARGE HAIL IS POSSIBLE WITH THIS SEVERE THUNDERSTORM. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THE STORM...PUT YOUR CAR IN A GARAGE AND MOVE TO A SUBSTANTIAL SHELTER.

SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO TX 1030 AM CDT FRI MAY 19 2000 HEAVY RAIN EPISODE APPEARS TO BE DEVELOPING. CURRENT FORECAST HAS GENERAL TRENDS DEFINED VERY WELL. WILL MAKE MINOR ADJUSTMENTS TO POPS AND WINDS TO MATCH LATEST LOCATION OF COLD FRONT/OUTFLOW BOUNDARY. MESOETA AND ETA SEEM TO MATCH THE CURRENT PRECIP PATTERN FAIRLY WELL. ISOLATED STRONG CONVECTION CAN OCCUR NORTH OF BOUNDARY THIS AFTERNOON WHICH SHOULD STRETCH ACROSS THE CENTRAL HILL COUNTRY TO JUST SOUTH OF DEL RIO. THE BOUNDARY SHOULD MOVE VERY LITTLE THIS AFTERNOON. NUMEROUS SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE TO FORM IN THE DEEP GULF FLOW ESPECIALLY OVER THE EASTERN HALF OF THE FORECASTER AREA. THE COOL AIR IS EXPECTED TO SAG SLOWLY SOUTHWARD TONIGHT WITH BANDS OF HEAVY RAINS AND ISOLATED SEVERE WEATHER...MAINLY CHANCE OF LARGE HAIL...ALONG AND NORTH OF THE BOUNDARY.
