SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO TX 300 PM CDT THU MAY 4 2000 SPC COORDINATED A WHILE BACK ABOUT A WATCH (PROBABLY TORNADO) WITHIN THE HOUR FOR THE NORTHERN TIER OF COUNTIES IF ALL HOLDS TOGETHER. OUTFLOW BOUNDARY FROM EARLIER CONVECTION EXPECTED TO TRIGGER CONVECTION TOWARD THE SOUTH WHICH WOULD SKIRT OUR NORTHERN CWA. RIGHT NOW IT APPEARS THE CONVECTION IS WEAKENING AND A BOX MAY NOT BE REQUIRED. ELSEWHERE ATMOSPHERE VERY JUICY WITH DEWPOINTS IN THE 60S AND 70S ACROSS CWA. MINS TO BE HIGH AND CLOUD COVER MAY BE SLOW TO BREAK UNTIL MID OR LATE AFTERNOON. OTHER THAN THE CENTRAL TEXAS COUNTIES AND PERHAPS A COUNTY OR TWO IN THE HILL COUNTRY...POPS TO BE BELOW 20%. NOT MUCH IN THE WAY OF A SIGNIFICANT TRIGGER IN THE UPPER NORTHWESTERLY FLOW TO SET OFF THIS MOISTURE. WHICH BRINGS US AROUND TO THE UPPER FLOW.
