THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  VAL VERDE COUNTY

* UNTIL 100 AM CDT

* AT 954 PM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN 4 MILES EAST OF SEMINOLE CANYON
STATE PARK...OR ABOUT 7 MILES WEST OF COMSTOCK...MOVING NORTH AT 30
MPH WITH OTHER THUNDERSTORMS BEHIND THESE.  MORE THUNDERSTORMS WERE
MOVING INTO WESTERN VAL VERDE COUNTY AND APPROACHING LANGTRY AND
PANDALE.

RAINFALL RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR WERE INDICATED BY RADAR.
THIS WILL FALL ON AREAS FLOODED EARLIER TODAY AND BRING ADDITIONAL
FLOODING.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR{ CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
