THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES IN TEXAS...
  BEXAR COUNTY

* UNTIL 400 AM CDT

* AT 1212 AM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY
  RAIN 10 MILES SOUTH OF SAN ANTONIO...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 50 MPH.

ALTHOUGH THIS STORM IS MOVING QUICKLY ACROSS BEXAR COUNTY...SEVERAL
THUNDERSTORMS HAVE MOVED ACROSS THESE SAME AREAS OVER THE PAST 36
HOURS WITH LOCAL RAINFALL TOTALS OF 3 TO 4 INCHES ESTIMATED BY
DOPPLER RADAR. ANOTHER ROUND OF THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO PRODUCE AN
ADDITIONAL INCH OF RAINFALL OVER PARTS OF BEXAR COUNTY.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THESE STORMS WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...LOW WATER CROSSINGS AND UNDERPASSES.
ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS
AND STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
