THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DES MOINES HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  GRUNDY COUNTY IN CENTRAL IOWA
  HARDIN COUNTY IN CENTRAL IOWA
  BUTLER COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL IOWA
  FRANKLIN COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL IOWA
  BLACK HAWK COUNTY IN NORTHEAST IOWA
  THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF WATERLOO
  BREMER COUNTY IN NORTHEAST IOWA

* UNTIL 430 AM

* AT 126 AM...WEATHER SPOTTERS REPORTED THUNDERSTORMS WITH FLASH
  FLOOD PRODUCING RAINS FROM NEAR TRIPOLI TO NEAR PARKERSBURG TO
  NEAR BUCKEYE.  THE LINE WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 35 MPH.

* THUNDERSTORMS ARE CONTINUOUSLY REDEVELOPING OVER THE WARNING
  AREA...RESULTING IN EXCESSIVE RAINFALL. RAINFALL RATES WILL AVERAGE
  ONE TO THREE INCHES PER HOUR.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY
ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND OTHER
LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
