THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DODGE CITY HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  RUSH COUNTY IN CENTRAL KANSAS
  NESS COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL KANSAS

* UNTIL 1100 PM CDT

* AT 756 PM CDT DODGE CITY DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF 
THUNDERSTORMS IN THE CENTRAL PORTIONS OF NESS AND RUSH COUNTIES 
MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 20 MPH. RAINFALL REPORTS IN ONE LOCATION 
NORTHEAST OF NESS CITY WERE AROUND TWO AND A QUARTER INCHES SINCE 
THE ONSET OF THE RAIN. SIMILAR AMOUNTS OF RAIN CAN BE EXPECTED 
THROUGH 900 PM IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS. 

* SOME LOCATIONS AFFECTED INCLUDE...
  TIMKEN.
  SHAFFER.
  RUSH CENTER.
  NESS CITY.
  NEKOMA.
  MCCRACKEN.
  RURAL OF NESS AND RUSH COUNTIES NEAR WALNUT CREEK.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
