THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DODGE CITY HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SOUTHERN GRANT COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST KANSAS

* UNTIL 1100 AM CDT

* AT 900 AM CDT DODGE CITY DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A THUNDERSTORM 
HAD SHOWED VERY LITTLE MOVEMENT IN THE SOUTH CENTRAL PORTION OF THE 
COUNTY. RADAR RAINFALL ESTIMATES FROM THIS STORM ARE ON THE ORDER OF 
2.5 TO 3.0 INCHES IN THE PAST HOUR. AREAS ALONG AND JUST EAST OF 
ROUTE 25 IN THE SOUTHERN PORTION OF THE COUNTY IS THE REGION OF 
GREATEST CONCERN OF FLOODING.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS...DITCHES...GULLEYS...DRAWS...ROADS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND
ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
