THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  WESTERN LARAMIE COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST WYOMING

* UNTIL 900 PM MDT

* AT 635 PM MDT...WEATHER SPOTTERS REPORTED FLOODING PROBLEMS AROUND 
  THE COMMUNITY OF FEDERAL. THERE WAS ALSO WATER OVER THE ROAD ALONG 
  PARTS OF HAPPY JACK ROAD IN THE FOOTHILLS OF THE LITTLE            
  LARAMIE RANGE.  DOPPLER RADAR INDICATES 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN      
  HAS ALREADY FALLEN OVER THIS REGION FROM EARLIER STORMS.           
  ANOTHER AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE ACROSS THE SOUTHERN        
  LARAMIE RANGE THROUGH 830 PM.  AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN 
  IS POSSIBLE IN THIS AREA WITH ISOLATED HIGHER TOTALS.    

* SOME AREAS IN THIS WARNING INCLUDE FEDERAL AND CURT GOWDY STATE PARK

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM RAINS OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN WILL CAUSE FLASH 
FLOODING OF CREEKS AND STREAMS...ROADS AND ROADSIDE CULVERTS. THE 
HEAVY RAINS COULD ALSO TRIGGER ROCK AND MUDSLIDES IN STEEP TERRAIN.

MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR
VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER
DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY. VEHICLES
CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER
GROUND.
