...FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR LA BONTE CREEK UNTIL 2 AM...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR LA 
BONTE CREEK IN CONVERSE COUNTY NEAR ESTERBROOK.

HEAVY RAINS IN THE MEDICINE BOW NATIONAL FOREST HAS CAUSED MANY 
STREAMS AND CREEKS COMING OUT OF THE MOUNTAINS TO RUN BANKFULL OR 
HIGHER.

UNOFFICIAL REPORTS ALONG LA BONTE CREEK STATE AT SOME POINTS THE 
CREEK IS 50 FOOT WIDE AND 10 FEET DEEP.  SOME RESIDENTS ALONG LA 
BONTE CREEK ARE MOVING TO HIGHER GROUND.  THE PUBLIC REPORT ONE 
BRIDGE OVER LA BONTE CREEK ON ESTERBROOKE ROAD HAS WATER LAPPING 
ONTO IT.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION!  IF YOU LIVE ALONG LA BONTE CREEK GO 
TO HIGHER GROUND NOW!

REMEMBER NEVER DRIVE INTO FLOODED AREAS.  BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS 
DURING HOURS OF DARK+NESS WHEN FLOODED AREAS AND WASHED OUT ROADS ARE 
MORE DIFFICULT TO SEE.
