THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BROWNSVILLE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  KENEDY COUNTY IN DEEP SOUTH TEXAS
  BROOKS COUNTY IN DEEP SOUTH TEXAS

* UNTIL 630 AM CDT

* AT 225 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL 
OVER BROOKS COUNTY. THE BEST RAIN PRODUCING THUNDERSTORMS WILL 
WILL SLOWLY MOVE EASTWARD INTO KENEDY COUNTY THROUGH THESE EARLY MORNING
HOURS.   DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAINFALL PER HOUR
OVER PORTIONS OF BROOKS COUNTY IN THE LAST HOUR.

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE
  WARNED AREA. RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH
  FLOODING TO OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLASH       
  FLOODING INCLUDE THE TOWNS OF...FALFURRIAS...ENCINO AND SARITA.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF NORMALLY
SMALL DRY CREEK BEDS...COUNTRY ROADS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
