SOUTHERN JEFFERSON COUNTY IN NORTHEAST COLORADO * UNTIL 330 PM MDT * AT 123 PM MDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY RAIN 4 MILES NORTHWEST OF WELLINGTON LAKE...OR ABOUT 36 MILES SOUTHWEST OF DENVER. THE STORM PRODUCING THE HEAVY RAIN WAS MOVING EAST AT 10 MPH. LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE...BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO... WELLINGTON LAKE...PINE AND BUFFALO CREEK. A THUNDERSTORM WITH HEAVY RAIN IS MOVING INTO SOUTHERN JEFFERSON COUNTY FROM BAILEY. THE STORM SHOULD MOVE RIGHT OVER THE HIGH MEADOW BURN AREA WITH RAINFALLS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES IN 30 TO 45 MINUTES. MUDSLIDES AND HEAVY RUNOFF ARE EXPECTED ALONG THE NORTH FORK OF THE SOUTH PLATTE RIVER FROM UPSTREAM OF THE TOWN OF PINE DOWN TO BUFFALO CREEK. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING. IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY. RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY.
