THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BIRMINGHAM HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SOUTHEAST MADISON COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL ALABAMA

* UNTIL 700 PM CDT

* AT 405 PM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY A 
CLUSTER OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN OVER SOUTHEASTERN MADISON 
COUNTY...JUST EAST OF OWENS CROSSROADS.  THE STORMS WERE DRIFTING 
SLOWLY TOWARD THE SOUTHEAST.

RADAR HAS ESTIMATED THAT 3 TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER PARTS OF
SOUTHEAST MADISON COUNTY SINCE 2 PM.  THIS HAS RESULTED IN A THREAT
OF LOCALIZED FLASH FLOODING OVER THIS AREA THROUGH THE LATE AFTERNOON
AND EARLY EVENING.  AN ADDITIONAL INCH OR SO IS POSSIBLE OVER THIS
AREA THROUGH 5 PM.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE
PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS
SWIFTLY FLOWING WATERS OR WATERS OF UNKNOWN DEPTH BY FOOT OR BY
AUTOMOBILE. IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS, ABANDON IT IMMEDIATELY AND SEEK
HIGHER GROUND.
