THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LA CROSSE HAS EXTENDED THE

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  MOWER COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA

* UNTIL 600 AM CDT

* AT 352 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THAT 3 TO 8 INCHES OF RAIN HAD FALLEN OVER MOWER COUNTY DURING THE
  OVERNIGHT HOURS.  THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY CONTINUED TO MOVE ACROSS
  THE COUNTY...WITH THE HEAVIEST PRECIPITATION OVER THE NORTHERN
  SECTIONS.

EXTENSIVE FLOODING HAS BEEN REPORTED IN THE COUNTY.  ANY ADDITIONAL
RAINFALL WILL ONLY AGGRAVATE THE FLOODING PROBLEMS.

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE
INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROAD. ONLY 2 FEET OF WATER WILL
CAUSE MOST CARS TO FLOAT. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
