THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBANY HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHERN WASHINGTON COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL NEW YORK

* UNTIL 900 AM EDT

* AT 500 AM EDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY
  RAIN OVER SOUTHERN VERMONT...MOVING NORTHWEST AT 30 MPH.

* THE EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL BE NEAR...
  4 MILES SOUTHWEST OF WHITEHALL AT 520 AM EDT
  OVER HULETTS LANDING AT 525 AM EDT

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF CREEKS
AND STREAMS...ROADS AND ROADSIDE CULVERTS. THE HEAVY RAINS COULD ALSO
TRIGGER ROCK AND MUDSLIDES IN STEEP TERRAIN. RAINS FROM THIS AND
PREVIOUS STORMS HAVE CAUSED SMALL STREAMS IN SOUTHERN VERMONT TO
LEAVE THEIR BANKS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

AUTOMOBILE. IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS...ABANDON IT IMMEDIATELY AND SEEK
