750 WFUS54 KTSA 310132 RRA TORTUL OKC135-310215- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TULSA OK 733 PM CST MON MAR 30 1998 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TULSA HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 815 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN EAST CENTRAL OKLAHOMA ...SEQUOYAH COUNTY AT 730 PM...RADAR CONTINUED TO SHOW A POSSIBLE TORNADO NEAR SALLISAW WITH WIDESPREAD DAMAGING WINDS OCCURRING ELSEWHERE IN THE COUNTY. THE STORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 50 MPH. SPOTTERS REPORTED A FUNNEL CLOUD ALONG INTERSTATE 40 NEAR SALLISAW AT 727 PM. THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM SITUATION. ACT QUICKLY. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO MOVE TO A SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF AVAILABLE. OTHERWISE... GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR. AVOID WINDOWS AND DOORS. ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE HOMES FOR A STURDIER BUILDING OR GET INTO A DITCH OR CULVERT.
