THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY HAS ISSUED A

   * FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
     SOUTHEASTERN IRON COUNTY IN UTAH
     INCLUDING CEDAR CITY

   * UNTIL 830 PM MDT

   * AT 648 PM MDT THE PUBLIC REPORTED A FLASH FLOOD IN CEDAR CITY   
     ALONG COAL CREEK.

COAL CREEK AT THE MOUTH OF CEDAR CANYON IN CEDAR CITY WEST TO THE 
AREA JUST WEST OF I-15 IS OUT OF IT'S BANKS.  LAW ENFORCEMENT 
REPORTS FLOODING IN TOWN AND SAND BAGGING IS IN PROGRESS.

ADDITIONAL RAIN UPSTREAM IN THE MOUNTAINS MAY CAUSE THIS CREEK TO 
RISE FURTHER OVER THE NEXT 60-90 MINUTES.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
