THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RENO HAS ISSUED A

*    FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
     IN EASTERN CALIFORNIA
          CENTRAL MONO COUNTY

*    UNTIL 615 PM PDT 

*    THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO REDEVELOP ALONG THE SIERRA CREST  
     AND MOVE EASTWARD INTO THE VALLEYS. THESE STORMS HAVE BEEN
     PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN RESULTING IN MUDSLIDES AND ROAD
     CLOSURES. 

*    FLASH FLOODING IS ALREADY OCCURRING ALONG HWY 395 BETWEEN
     BRIDGPORT AND MONO LAKE.

FLASH FLOODING AND MUDSLIDES ARE LIKELY ALSO ALONG HWY 270
TOWARDS BODIE AND HWY 167 BETWEEN LEE VINING AND HAWTHORNE.

PEOPLE IN THE WARNING AREA SHOULD MOVE AWAY FROM WASHES AND SMALL
STREAMS.  MANY FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.
