FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  430 AM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHEAST TENNESSEE
 
   ...VAN BUREN COUNTY
 
AT 2:30 AM DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR INDICATED AN AREA OF RAIN MOVING
NORTHEAST ACROSS VAN BUREN COUNTY. MOST OF THE COUNTY HAS SEEN 3-4
INCHES OF RAIN THE LAST 24 HOURS...SO ANY ADDITIONAL RAINFALL COULD
PROVE HAZARDOUS.
 
BE AWARE THAT MOST STREAMS AND CREEKS ARE NEAR BANKFUL AND ARE FLOOD
PRONE...EVEN WITH RELATIVELY LOW ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS. YOU SHOULD
REMAIN ALERT...ESPECIALLY IF YOU LIVE NEAR A CREEK OR STREAM BED.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
