THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PLEASANT HILL HAS ISSUED A

* URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD WARNING FOR...
     PLATTE COUNTY IN MISSOURI

* UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT

* AT 949 PM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED 
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINS...MOVING INTO SOUTHERN 
  SECTIONS OF PLATTE COUNTY.  THIS ADDITIONAL RAINFALL...WHEN 
  COUPLED WITH THE RAINS WHICH PREVIOUSLY FELL ACROSS MUCH OF PLATTE 
  COUNTY...WILL RESULT IN THE POTENTIAL FOR URBAN AND SMALL STREAM 
  FLOODING.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS 
AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY ROADS 
AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND OTHER LOW 
LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO SMALL STREAM AND LOW-LAND FLOODING.

DO NOjT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS 
SAFELY.
