THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN COLUMBIA SC HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  EASTERN LEXINGTON COUNTY IN SOUTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 1030 PM EDT

* NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS RECEIVED REPORTS OF A SMALL  
  EARTHEN DAM OVERFLOWING ON SECOND CREEK  NEAR CHURCH STREET 
  SOUTH OF THE TOWN OF SOUTH CONGAREE. THIS DAM MAY FAIL AND 
  CAUSE FLOODING ALONG SECOND CREEK DOWNSTREAM TO HIGHWAY 103. 
  PEOPLE  IN LEXINGTON COUNTY WITH EARTHEN DAMS SHOULD MONITOR 
  THEM  THROUGH THE EVENING HOURS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE 
ROAD. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO 
CROSS SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED 
QUICKLY.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE 
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT 
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.
