* FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SOUTHEASTERN WORCESTER COUNTY IN CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS
  MIDDLESEX COUNTY IN NORTHEASTERN MASSACHUSETTS
  ESSEX COUNTY IN NORTHEASTERN MASSACHUSETTS
  SUFFOLK COUNTY IN EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS
  NORFOLK COUNTY IN EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS
  NORTHERN BRISTOL MA COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN MASSACHUSETTS

  AREA.  RUNOFF FROM THE TORRENTIAL RAINS OF THE PAST 2 DAYS WILL 
  CONTINUE TO KEEP RIVERS QUITE HIGH THROUGH MONDAY MORNING.  

* RIVERS AND STREAMS SHOULD CREST LATE TONIGHT OR EARLY MONDAY WITH
  RIVER AND STREAM ELEVATIONS DIMINISHING DURING MONDAY.

* ROAD CLOSURES WILL CONTINUE IN SOME LOCATIONS AND MAY ACTUALLY 
  EXPAND AS FLOODING INCREASES ALONG SOME OF THE SLOWER RIVERS AND
  STREAMS SUCH AS THE CHARLES RIVER AT WALTHAM AND THE SHAWSHEEN 
  RIVER IN WILMINGTON. 

WHILE THE SIGHT OF A RIVER IN FLOOD MAY BE SPECTACULAR...ALL TOO 
OFTEN PEOPLE - ESPECIALLY CHILDREN - ARE INJURED OR KILLED BECAUSE 
THEY VENTURE TOO CLOSE TO THE RIVERBANK.  STAY AWAY FROM FLOODED 
RIVERS AND STREAMS AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS FROM LOCAL POLICE OR 
FIRE OFFICIALS WHERE ROADS HAVE BEEN CLOSED OR EVACUATIONS HAVE BEEN 
REQUESTED. 

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOODED ROADWAY.  THE
ROAD COULD BE DAMAGED OR WASHED OUT.
