THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GAYLORD MI HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  IOSCO COUNTY IN NORTHEASTERN LOWER MICHIGAN

* UNTIL 400 AM EST THURSDAY

* HEAVY RAINFALL... RANGING FROM THREE TO SIX INCHES... IN THE PAST 48
  HOURS HAS PUSHED MANY RIVERS... STREAMS AND CREEKS TO NEAR BANKFULL
  OVER THE COUNTY. COUNTY OFFICIALS HAVE RECENTLY NOTED RAPID
  INCREASES IN WATER LEVELS... MAINLY OVER THE EASTERN HALF OF THE
  COUNTY. AREAS AROUND THE MOUTH OF THE AU SABLE RIVER... MAINLY OSCODA
  AND AU SABLE TOWNSHIPS... HAVE ALREADY BEGUN TO SEE DRASTIC RISES IN
  WATER LEVELS. WATER LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE INCREASING
  OVERNIGHT. AREAS ALONG THE AU SABLE RIVER AND IT TRIBUTARIES WILL BE
  THE MOST SUSCEPTIBLE TO FLOODING.
 
* SCATTERED SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE WARNING AREA OVERNIGHT.
  ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS AROUND 0.10 INCH ARE EXPECTED   
  OVERNIGHT... HOWEVER THE MAIN THREAT OF FLOODING WILL BE FROM
  CONTINUE RUNOFF AND HIGHER WATER LEVELS UPSTREAM.

IF YOU OBSERVE FLOOD WATERS... MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
DOl NOT DRIVE THROUGH WATER COVERED ROADS... AS THE WATER MAY BE
DEEPER THAN YOU MIGHT THINK... WHICH COULD SWEEP YOU VEHICLE DOWN
STREAM.
