THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAS VEGAS NV HAS ISSUED A FLASH
FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 500 PM PDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE
FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...

IN SOUTHERN NEVADA

  ...CLARK COUNTY...PRIMARILY NORTH AND WEST OF I-15
  ...EXTREME SOUTHERN NYE COUNTY

THIS WARNING REPLACES THE URBAN FLOOD ADVISORY ISSUED EARLIER
FOR CENTRAL CLARK COUNTY AND THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING ISSUED
EARLIER FOR WESTERN CLARK AND EXTREME SOUTHERN NYE COUNTIES.

INCLUDED IN THE WARNING AREA ARE THE LAS VEGAS METRO AREA...MT
CHARLESTON...PAHRUMP...AND INDIAN SPRINGS.

AT 1250 PM PDT...RADAR INDICATED NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS...SOME
WITH INTENSE RAIN...MOVING THROUGH THE NORTHWESTERN HALF OF
CLARK COUNTY.  PARTICULARLY STRONG STORMS WERE NOTED ALONG A
LINE FROM 6 MILES WEST OF GLENDALE-MOAPA TO THE SUMMERLIN AREA
OF NORTHWEST LAS VEGAS THEN SOUTHWEST TO MOUNTAIN SPRINGS SUMMIT
ON STATE ROUTE 160. INDIVIDUAL STORM CELLS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST
AT ABOUT 20 MPH BUT THE LINE ITSELF WAS MOVING VERY LITTLE AND
NEW STORMS CONTINUE TO DEVELOP AND MOVE ACROSS THE SAME GENER`AL
AREA.  THE COMBINATION OF RAIN-SOAKED GROUND AND ADDITIONAL
HEAVY RAINS HAS PRODUCED A SITUATION IN WHICH SERIOUS FLOODING
IS IMMINENT THIS AFTERNOON OVER PARTS OF NORTHWESTERN AND
CENTRAL CLARK COUNTY.
