SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1045 PM PDT (1045 PM MST)
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS......
 
IN NORTHWEST ARIZONA
 
   ...NORTHERN MOHAVE COUNTY
 
AT 730 PM...LAS VEGAS DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
IN AN AREA EXTENDING FROM NEAR COTTONWOOD COVE NORTHEAST TO DOLAN
SPRINGS TO NEAR PEACH SPRINGS ALONG HIGHWAY 66.  THE STRONGEST
STORMS WERE LOCATED 15 MILES NORTHEAST OF COTTONWOOD COVE IN THE
VICINITY OF U.S. HIGHWAY 93.
 
THESE STORMS HAVE HAD A HISTORY OF PRODUCING FLASH FLOODING
AND SEVERE WEATHER AS THEY MOVED THROUGH SOUTHERN NEVADA EARLIER
IN THE EVENING.
 
MOVEMENT OF INDIVIDUAL CELLS WAS TO THE NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH.
 
THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM.  IF YOU ARE IN ITS PATH YOU SHOULD
PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...LARGE HAIL...AND
DEADLY LIGHTNING.  PEOPLE OUTSIDE SHOULD MOVE TO A SHELTER...
PREFERABLY INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING BUT STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.
