000 TTAA00 KTUS 212118 FFWTUS AZC003-212220- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TUCSON AZ 216 PM MST SUN SEP 21 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TUCSON AZ HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 320 PM MST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTHEASTERN ARIZONA ...SOUTHEASTERN COCHISE COUNTY AT 214 PM MST...DOPPLER RADAR AND SPOTTER REPORTS INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WITH EXTREMELY HEAVY RAINFALL IN THE VICINITY OF DOUGLAS AND HWY 80 MOVING EAST NORTHEAST AT 15 MPH. GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL WAS REPORTED NEAR DOUGLAS FROM THIS STORM. RADAR ESTIMATES RAINFALL RATE IN EXCESS OF 2 INCHES PER HOUR.
