     WASHINGTON COUNTY - NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS

* UNTIL 300 AM CDT
 
* SOME LOCATIONS AFFECTED
     ALL OF WASHINGTON COUNTY INCLUDING THE TOWN OF WASHINGTON

* CAUSE AND EFFECT
     EXTREMELY HEAVY RAIN HAS FALLEN FROM STRONG TO SEVERE
     THUNDERSTORMS WHICH CONTINUE TO TRACK OVER WASHINGTON COUNTY.
     UP TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAS ALREADY FALLEN OVER PARTS OF
     WASHINGTON COUNTY...LEADING TO RAPID RISES OF STREAMS AND
     CREEKS.

* FORECAST CONDITIONS
     MORE THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE NORTHEAST OVER
     WASHINGTON COUNTY...WHICH WILL DROP AROUND TWO MORE INCHES OF
     RAIN.  SOME ROADS WILL BECOME IMPASSIBLE...AS WELL AS CITY
     STREETS AND DRAINAGE AREAS.
 
DONT DRIVE ACROSS FLOODED ROADS!  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN
VEHICLES.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGER OF FLOODING.
