THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY UT HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 730 PM MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN SOUTH CENTRAL UTAH

   ...SOUTHERN PIUTE COUNTY
 
THE UTAH HIGHWAY PATROL HAS CLOSED STATE ROUTE 62 IN SOUTHERN PIUTE
COUNTY BETWEEN JUNCTION AND OTTER CREEK RESERVOIR DUE TO
FLASH FLOODING AND A MUDSLIDE ACROSS THE ROAD.

HEAVY RAINS HAVE BEEN FALLING FOR THE LAST 1-2 HOURS IN THIS
AREA WITH RADAR ESTIMATES OF OVER 3.00 INCHES IN A SMALL AREA TO
THE EAST OF JUNCTION.

THE RADAR SHOWS THAT RAINS ARE LETTING UP BUT ADDITIONAL ROCK
AND MUDSLIDES ARE POSSIBLE AND WASHES MAY STILL RUN FULL FOR
ANOTHER 1-2 HOURS.
 
DO NOT TRY TO OUTRACE A FLASH FLOOD...EITHER ON FOOT OR IN YOUR
VEHICLE.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.

IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE
FLOOD WATERS.  DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER
BEGINS RISING.
