* SOME AREAS OR STREAMS AFFECTED
  SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS IN BARTON COUNTY COULD REACH
  BANKFULL THIS AFTERNOON AND ROADS MAY BECOME WATER COVERED.
  LOW WATER CROSSINGS WILL ALSO BE SUBJECT TO FLOODING
  THROUGH 5 PM.

* CAUSE AND EFFECT
  THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL OF AN INCH
  PER HOUR HAS CAUSED SOME MINOR FLOODING OF LOW
  AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS.


* FORECAST CONDITIONS
  A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS FROM PITTSBURG IN CRAWFORD COUNTY
  KANSAS NORTHEAST TO HERMITAGE IN MISSOURI WILL CONTINUE TO
  MOVE WEST AT 15 MPH ACROSS THE SAME AREAS FOR THE NEXT
  SEVERAL HOURS AND PRODUCE ANOTHER INCH OR TWO OF RAINFALL.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED
QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
