000 TTAA00 KRDU 242225 FFWRDU NCC163-250030- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RALEIGH/DURHAM NC 623 PM EDT THU JUL 24 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH/DURHAM HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 830 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTHEAST NORTH CAROLINA ...NORTHERN SAMPSON COUNTY THUNDERSTORMS PERSIST OVER NORTHERN SAMPSON COUNTY WHERE ALREADY 2-3 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN. THE SHERIFFS OFFICE HAS RECEIVED SEVERAL REPORTS OF WATER ON THE ROADWAYS IN THE VICINITY OF CLINTON. MORE RAIN WILL FALL ACROSS THE AREA DURING THE NEXT 1-2 HOURS CAUSUNG FLOODING OF SOME STREAM AND CREEKS. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVIN G SLOWLY TO THE EAST AS THEY CONTINUED TO DEVELOP OVER NORTHERN SAMPSOM COUNTY.
